Itinerary
Day 01 : Chennai Arrive

On arrival at Chennai transfer to your hotel. Afternoon proceed on a sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George and the Government Museum. The rest of the evening is at leisure Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Chennai to Mahabalipuram 3 hours ) 180 km

After Breakfast Proceed to Mahabalipuram . On arrival Check in Hotel. Later sight seeing ShoreTemple, Pancha (Five) Rathas in Mamallapuram. Over night stay

Day 03 : Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry 3 Hours 175 km

After Breakfast Proceed to Pondicherry. On arrival Check In Hote,. Free for Leisure. Over night stay

Day 04 : Pondicherry Local

After Breakfast local sightseeing SriAurobindo Ashram, Auroville, The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and BharthidasanMemorial Museum in Pondicherry. Over night stay.

Day 05 : Pondicherry to Tanjore 5 Hours 4 hours

After Breakfast Proceed to Tanjore. On arrival check in hotel . Later sightseeings Visit the famous Brihadeshwara Temple built in 10th Century and the Saraswati Mahal Library which houses palm leaf & paper manuscripts. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Tanjore – Trichy 2 hours 80 km

Early morning after breakfast proceed for Trichy the citadel of the Chola Dynasty. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. You later proceed on a sightseeing tour visiting the Rock Fort and the mystic Srirangam Island, a living example of the ancient temple towns of the South. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Trichy – Madurai:- 3 hours 170 km

This morning you will drive to Madurai (142 kms / 2-3 hrs) Southern India's oldest city with a recorded history going back to the 6th century B.C. This afternoon you will visit the ruins of the Tirumal Nayak Palace and world famous Meenakshi Temple, the most perfect example of Dravidian architecture. Later this evening you may revisit the Temple for the evening Aarti ceremony. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Madurai – Kodaikanal 3 hours 190 km

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is one of the most popular, peaceful & striking hill stations on the Palani Hills in Tamil Nadu. Enroute halt at Silver Cascade Waterfalls which is a 55 metre (180 ft) waterfall at altitude 1,800 metres (5,900 ft). On arrival, check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal Hotel/Resort.

Day 09 : Kodaikanal

After breakfast, proceed for full day sight-seeing of Kodaikanal such as Pine Forest which was set up by Mr. Bryant in 1906 with a view to growing valuable timber. Pillar Rocks is a set of three giant rock pillars which stand 122 metres high. There is an excellent public garden adjacent to the viewpoint. Green Valley View has an excellent panoramic view of the plains and a sheer drop of 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) overlooking the Vaigai dam to the south. Coakers Walk built by Lt. Coaker in 1872 is a 01 km paved pedestrian path running along the edge of steep slopes. On a clear day one can view as far as Dolphin's Nose in the south, the valley of the Pambar River in the southeast, Periyakulam town and even the cityof Madurai. Kodaikanal Lake is an artificial star shaped 60 acres lake built in 1863 and is Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark. Rowboats, Pedals, Horses & Bicycles can be hired beside the lake for short period. Bryant Park is a wonderfully maintained 20.5 acres botanical garden with 325 species of trees, shrubs, cactuses and 740 varieties of roses. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal Hotel/Resort.

Day 10 : Kodaikanal - Rameshwaram (300 kms – 08 hrs)

After Breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram which is also called the Benaras of South India. There is a traditional belief among the Hindus that a pilgrimage to Kashi will be complete only after a visit to Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram has a huge mythological significance to the Hindus where Lord Rama took the journey of constructing a stone bridge that led him and his army to Sri Lanka to free his beloved wife Goddess Sita. Enroute drive past one of the longest sea bridges of India, Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge or Pamban Bridge which connects Rameshwaram Island with the Indian mainland. From this spectacular bridge you can see the nearby island and parallel rail bridge called Pamban Scissors Bridge. On arrival, check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at Rameshwaram Hotel/Resort

Day 11: Rameshwaram

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Rameshwaram visiting Ramanathaswamy Temple which is famous for India’s longest temple corridor ever built. Also visit Agnitheertham which is located at a few meters from the Ramanathaswamy temple. It is a sacred stretch of shallow sea which is believed to be located at the same spot where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva. Dhanushkodi, another interesting place where Vibishana, brother of Ravana, surrendered before Lord Rama at this spot. It is a strip of land accessible only by Local Jeep (04 wheel drive) about one km wide and 18 km long on the eastern end of Rameswaram island which divides the waters of the Indian Ocean on one side and waters of the Bay of Bengal on the other side. Also visit Former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam House to understand his humble beginnings and find inspiration in his great achievements. Overnight stay at Rameshwaram Hotel/Resort.

Day 12 : Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari (320 kms – 08 hrs)

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Kanyakumari, which is also called Cape Comorin. Kanyakumari is the southernmost tip of the Indian Mainland and at the confluence of Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. It is enchanting to see sunrise and sunset from and into the sea at one single location in India. Overnight stay

Day 13 : Kanyakumari - Local

After Breakfast , sight-seeing tour of Kanyakumari visiting the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a blend of all architectural styles of India. Also visit Mahatma Gandhi Memorial where the ashes of Our Father of the Nation is kept, Thiruvalluvar Statue is one of the biggest statues in India located atop a small island in Kanyakumari, nearby the confluence. End your day by watching the spectacular sunset at Kanyakumari Beach.Overnight stay at Kanyakumari Hotel/Resort.

Day 14 : Kanyakumari - Kovalam (100 kms – 2.5 hrs)

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Kovalami. Kovalam is known as the "Paradise of the South"., on the way visit Suchindram, Wooden Palace. On arrival check in hotel . Enjiy at Kovalam Beach. Overnight stay

Day 15 : Kovalam - TVM - Kovalam

After breakfast sightseeing of Trivandrum. - an ancient city with a tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. Visit: The Napier Museum, Zoo, Sri Padmanabhaswami Temple, Zoological Gardens & Shopping. Back to Hotel & Over Night stay.

Day 16 : Kovalam – Alleppey (App. (App.4 hrs - )

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drives to Alleppey. Check in to Houseboat. Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha, was founded by Raja Keshawadasan, Divan of Travanacore in 1762. Referred to as the Venice of the east, Alleppey is one of the most magnificent backwater sites of India. It's famous for its boat race. Enjoy the leafs to Alleppey Backwater cruises through the Canals. Overnight stay.

Day 17 : Alleppey - Thekkady(App. 4 1/2 hrs - 157 km )

This morning after an early breakfast we drive to Periyar - South India's most popular tiger reserve located at an altitude of 3300 feet about sea level. On the way Spice Garden Visit & Elephant Ride( at your own cost). On arrival check into Hotel. Visit the famous Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary (Periyar Boating at your cost, if its allowed) - which is spread over 777 sq. km roughly half of which is dense evergreen forest, cavannah grassland & moist deciduous forest. Day 18 : Thekkady - Munnar ( App. 4 - 110 km 4 1/2hrs)
